Abingdon Marathon 2008 - It's back!

Oh, also started the echinacea on Saturday. It boosts the immune system (supposedly) which I need as everyone around me has a cold!
Schnecke Oct 2008 7:32pm, 1 Oct 2008 1,521 posts	Schnecke I've been taking echinacea (and vit c) for a few weeks, mile muncher, and I still managed to catch a cold from one of the germy people at work! However, it hasn't been a bad one and (fingers crossed) it seems to be getting better after only a few days, so there may be something in it.
Treacle Oct 2008 9:18am, 2 Oct 2008 1,924 posts	Treacle I can recommend carrying a bottle of Vicks First Defence around as well for the next couple of weeks - chemical warfare on colds! Not pleasant, but seems to work
hellen Oct 2008 9:31am, 2 Oct 2008 4,207 posts	hellen i had a cold last week and still have it a bit, am taking Ech and will be making OH take it as well ( as I always do a couple of weeks before a marathon), he isnt running but dont want him to get ill!!!

Lumsdoni Oct 2008 11:16am, 2 Oct 2008 4,844 posts	Lumsdoni I a in the "oh my god it's all going wrong phase" of the taper. 20 on Sunday which was horrendous then nothing til last night, 6 very bad miles, could barely run them. Ho hum. COnfidence boost this morning, 100 lengths breastroke in the same time I did 90 last week.
