Hello,

I’ve noticed a number of people already putting in some very long runs for Abingdon. I would express concern at this. Abingdon is a very long way off, and I don’t know any coach or seasoned marathoner who would be recommending really long runs just yet.

If you haven’t got a coach then I would advise you to take a look at some of many schedules around by RW, Hal Higdon etc, and have a chat with some of the experienced marathons on here.

Please take it easy at this stage. I want to see you running at Abingdon in October, not on the injured bench.

Thanks.

But Max made me do it!!!

Honest! She did!! Dragged me round London like a good 'un. Wouldn't let me stop or anything! :-P

And now it hurts:-(

So am resting up and will start again proper like at the end of June:-)

Dont worry, I'm currently sitting on the sofa eating chocolate...no fear of me running too long here :)

Actually the hurtiness is more due to going super-fast x-country rather than the super-long run.

That was just fun! Especially the mars bar stop
