Last of the Time Lords Nov 2007 10:11pm, 21 Nov 2007 38 posts	Last of the Time Lords The highly popular Abingdon Marathon was unfortunately cancelled for 2007 due to a number of key race committee positions being unfilled. I made an 11th hour attempt on behalf of my club to save the event, but alas it was to no avail.<br><br>The good news is it’s back for 2008! We’ve got in early this time and everything is set for Sunday October 19th 2008. Put it in your diary now!<br><br>Entries will be open mid January. Keep an eye on this thread and Runners World for further details.<br><br>My thanks to the hard working existing Abingdon committee, and my good friends at Alchester RC who have enabled this to happen. <br>

EvilPixie Nov 2007 10:19pm, 21 Nov 2007 1,066 posts	EvilPixie this was my 1st marathon .... the marshalls were fab, i even had a special delivery of a mars and water I fnished in just over 7hrs and wasn't made to feel bad or slow or anything great marathon and if you are up for a gfa then it's a good course too
