Had a new coffee today a Brazilian Ipanema Dolce bought as beans from Whitehouse coffee in Saffron Waldon. I had this as an espresso and it was lovely and fruity. I think it Will be good as a long black.

Post-gym cortado from Orchard Bakery with a pesto & cheese whirl. Sat on breakfast bench in the park, enjoying the sun. Life's good. 🙂

I made myself a different cup for a change this morning, maybe a vegan bulletproof coffee? In any case, it was about 300 ml of freshly ground normal coffee with aeropress blended with 1 tbsp coconut oil and 1 sachet of sugar from Espresso House (per person). Nice and creamy! A good way to use up any less-than-first-class bean purchases you might have.

It was! People in general seem to like that blended fat and carbo/water emulsion mouth-feel, like you get in gravy, ice cream, chocolate, etc. That reminds me to make a bulletproof coffee more often, but I have only good coffees just now, and I don't like to adulterate them!

Well I had an OK coffee this week at a wanky place. An old coffee supply company in Bristol has rebranded its premises to a white, glass, stark-benched cold affair with gadgets on display, but no warmth or cosiness. Mainly terse staff and I supped quickly and left; although not without noticing that a dog had shat under one of the tables, which I had to mention to the staff. Bit at odds with the sterile whiteness. I was glad to get out of there. Deeply unsatisfying experience.

I received a Pact coffee advent calendar. Some coffees I wouldn’t normally go for. So far the best has been a light roast from Democratic republic of the Congo

Ah interesting., Tiger. You're at the opposite end of the scale to me. My fave is Sumatran Mandheling, rich, dark flavours.
