Would the heat/humidity been a factor as well FML? Also maybe we get used to our own environs so to get plonked somewhere else...

Oh LN - that's rotten news :-(

Thanks everyone for comments about me dropping out. The 10 mile thing was the rule I followed for my first marathon, but with this one I was ill in December, so when training started I was only at 5 miles and it definitely felt like I was playing catch up all along. Could that have been a factor - possibly. It's funny how you can see clearly all the little things once it's over!

(((((LN))))) - hope it's good news in 6 weeks time.

I had a good run tonight, 3.5 miles, but left knee playing up a bit. Not sure if it's the gym work.....will leave the leg press tomorrow at the gym. I think I need to stretch more than anything - try to do a bit each morning.

Really appreciating being able to run after such a pants start to the year.

Lovely bike rides today. Took it easy, so hopefully legs will survive the week better.

Glad to hear you're finally out and about again Stander. Lots of training to do for TR.

Time flies when you are having fun. I feel I had just started to post, then the days flew past, I ran a fair bit and here we are :-)

I am now tapering for Bracknell Half not this weekend but next weekend, thank goodness not much more running to be done!

Hope everyone else is doing well?

The real biggie then is Endure24 in Berkshire - anyone else this way doing it? It's an amazing weekend.

Hi Hamish, wanted to do that but had to give way in order to do my big bike ride. Will be a team from Sandhurst doing it for sure.
