It's ridiculous. The supplier should be named and shamed, but what big city race would leave it to the morning of the race to have the water delivered? Is that normal?

Another long run through the country lanes this morning, enjoying these early starts. :-)

Hoping to stay on target for the 700.

I was a bit surprised to see the council scoured supermarkets for water and couldn't find enough. I did wonder why they couldn't use paper cups with tap water to provide drinks though?!

It was a boost to see the people of Sheffield going out and providing drinks where they could for the people that ran anyway :-)

After GER ran out of water in 2008 and I was picking up bottle from the floor due to it being a very hot day, I always run HM with my own drinks bottle.

Hello

I've had a week off so I haven't kept up with the thread as I've been trying to sort out the garden and do some spring cleaning.

Good luck to all the 700ers doing Paris and Brighton :-)

And well done to Bint on your 50 miles - that's awesome! bunting

Hey all.

Exhausted, but happy. Sneaked round in 2.59.22. Bit of run walking at the end but fortunately had a bit of time I the bag.

Hope everyone else's day has gone well. What happened at Sheffield is outrageous. I hope refunds are forthcoming. Sounds like a race organisers nightmare.

I am going to the pub. I will be drunk. :-)
