Hello :) I have forgotten all the posts (eight pages!) except jacs and the poor football boys :(

Dreadful run this morning, 15 miles of hell including severe ITB pain. I have no idea if I can run this marathon in 4 weeks. 4 weeks :-o

Good luck tomorrow's racers.

I have arace towel from the now-extinct Felixstowe half. I didn't run it though, I marshalled so it feels a bit of a cheat.

I've never had a towel. I once had a hat (peaked cap) but I only wore it once as it made my head too hot. No ventilation.

Jacs, I could hardly believe your story about the assault at the U16 match. But then a whole lot more of you came along saying they weren't surprised, so I can only suppose that school matches have gone steeply downhill since the days when my boys were playing.

Loads of races tomorrow. luck all of you!

Thanks guys. I know what I need to do, had the same problem in the run-up to Stort last year. Rolling and more rolling and I may try booking a sports massage.

Going for a recovery mimble tomorrow, mostly off road which might help. I'm on football duty but I refuse to stand in a field for an hour and a half watching eleven muddy teenagers try to get a round thing into an oblong thing.

As for football, we made T2 change teams after his coach assaulted a 14-year-old referee. I'm not surprised either sadly. Last year I was furious when the parent of another player in T2's current team went round telling all the other boys not to pass to T2, all because he'd been yelling from the sidelines for him to pass and he didn't. One of those dads who think they're the coach and should give orders.

Good night all, and the very best of luck to everyone racing tomorrow.

Carp - hope the rolling helps. I've had ITB issues and it's no fun at all.

Off to bed now. zzzzzzzzz
