Footpad - shocking indeed! - I'm glad I read your message after, and not before, my marshalling escapade at the weekend.

Mac - hope you're enjoying your teaching experience, - apart from their short attention span, 5-year-olds are usually lovely to teach, - bright-eyed and all ready to love you. Though it's many many years since I taught that age group, and 21st century 5 year olds may be a bit different from lat 60s / early 70s ones. More media pressure and all that.

And Star, hope the interviewing process goes off OK.

Just adding my bit of bunting for Carp, and not forgetting Mr. Carp.

The 700 thread is full of the joys of spring today. I woke before 7 and the sun was shining, so I ran 4.15 miles before breakfast, - a very long time since I did that. Quite a cold wind, but the sky is blue from horizon to horizon, the sun is beaming and all the spring flowers are beaming back at it. Off to Aberystwyth in a few minutes, where no doubt the sea will be sparkling.

LD, hope you get out in it all for a run, but take care, - maybe a run/walk?

That's outrageous Footpad!

There were plenty of heated words between marshalls and cyclists at Cambridge yesterday - one argument where a cyclist obviously assumed a big road closed sign didn't apply to him - but I don't think it came to blows.

That's mental Footpad!!

Hope the taper madness doesn't set in too badly Bint......

The cyclists in Cambridge are generally a law unto themselves Rosehip. The amount of arguments I have with them when I'm cycling and point out their idiocy is unreal. My last commute got me sworn at and called a naughty word because I had the cheek to stop at a red light and the guy had to stop before piling into me as he was on his phone with no hands on the bike :-O

I've been given the all clear to run again from my dentist after telling me to take a week off, so I'm debating adding a cheeky 2 mile Monday to the rest of my running from now on :-)

Some cyclists were being very belligerent yesterday. We also noticed that on Saturday when we went for a exploratory walk round the centre, the backs and the river.

Footpad, that really is awful. I hope the marshall is OK.

I also have Aberystwyth envy :)

Nice day for it Ahote.

I hurt. A lot. Mostly ITB and foot. Contemplating a very short recovery plod later but as the cold that's been threatening all week has finally arrived, I'm not sure. Also not sure the leg will take it!

Can't remember why your dentist would stop you running Ahote. Is it because running makes you smile too much and you get flies in your teeth? :-)

Much cooler here today. Off for gentle 6 miler at lunchtime. No club run tonight, most of the MOnday night runners are recovering from the Grizzly.

I have post-Gardening DOMS FFS!
