I missed it too, LindsD. Long time to wait for the 700th page. - Which should be something really special given that it's the 700 thread.

Isn't a flageolet a type of bean?

Pleased to see that Bint upheld the honour of the 700 thread on her way home, and that GM has been playing tunes on a bean (did I read that right?;-))

I've been to choir. :-) Still loving it but it was HARD tonight. I'm sure it would be easier if we actually had the music score but I suppose there are copyright fees etc to consider.

Running club tonight. Email had said "6/7 miles around town". I ignored the reference to distance, as quite often we're told 6 miles and it turns out to be 4. But it really was 6/7 miles, in fact it was more than 7 miles, and it wasn't round town but out along an unlit country lane and I hadn't brought my headtorch AGAIN.

Came home to a large plateful of pancakes and glass of champagne. Lenten austerity starts tomorrow. Giving up tea and coffee again, and alcohol will be a no-no but can't say I'm "giving it up" as sometimes weeks go by without my having any.

A flageolet is indeed a type of bean. Why the same name should refer to a type of bean and a type of wind instrument I don't know.

LD, I'd never cope in a choir without a music score.

We had pancakes. No beans though.

I don't think it will be *that* long before the 700th page. After all, it's taken just over two months for 600 pages!
