I wonder what that surface is like to run on - concrete is pretty unforgiving!

I thought the same as fleecy at first, then realised it mentioned a 10k :-)

I had some sort of a problem with that spreadsheet, forgotten what now. I'll go back and have another look in a minute.

Power went off soon after 1.00 p.m., came back just before 6.00. While there was still some daylight around I managed to find a little camping gaz stove that I bought years ago for just such an eventuality, attached the little gas cylinder to it and boiled enough water for a cup of tea. Was going to do soup in the same way, but power was back on before I was feeling soupy.

Horrendous out, and I don't feel anyone should be called wimpish for avoiding running in it. More like, sensible. I went out for 5 minutes to take a letter to the mobile post office van; it was rocking to and from in the wind, and the man manning it said it felt like a ship at sea. I wanted my letter sent recorded delivery, but he couldn't get an internet connection so couldn't give me a receipt, said he'd process it when he got to the main post office.

That greenhouse race looked interesting. They just zig-zag the length of it, I suppose?

Nice 4M blast round the club handicap course tonight. Cold, but no rain or wind really so very lucky after the earlier downpours. Got a bit competitive at the end and went a bit faster than I anticipated, but a nice confidence boost before Sunday. Just need to keep this cold at bay.

Well done to everyone who got out today. Fleecy, I hope you were cursing the wind in your normal fluent style ;-)

Think it's past the entry date, otherwise I would :) Though I need to do my 8 mile tempo this weekend so I will probably still be curled up in a ball whimpering.

Columba - did you get a warning about the file being corrupted? I did but ignored it. I'll be honest and say I didn't really understand the spreadsheet :-(
