We survived the ups and Downs at the Meon Valley Plod and didn't get blown off. Tough tough course but great fun. The hills were so steep in places you struggled to walk up them. I managed 10 cakes over the 21 miles so it was a good day out :-) I don't think UltraBint even broke sweat, that girl is fit.

Nice work AL in the wind and congrats on the PB afeitar bunting and everybody else for getting out in this weather.

Off to Turkey tomorrow for a few days, will have to be a dreadmill run in the hotel gym :-(

bunting for Afeitar and AL, sympathetic Get Well wishes to MacApple, sympathetic something-or-others to LD re the chewed-up debit card. You didn't feel inclined to chew up the dog in return?

8 and a half miles run this afternoon in a sequence of rain, heavy rain, very heavy rain with sleet mixed in, hardly any rain, more heavy rain, teasing glimpse of sunshine... Not a dry stitch on me when I got home. Running in difficult conditions is character-building, or so I'm told.

Molesey, I have actually made brawn myself - for OH, in the very early days of our marriage (the things one does for one's OH in the early days of marriage...). We had a very obliging butcher who would get me half a pig's head, which I then did in the pressure cooker. I don't remember an unpleasant smell, but perhaps the pressure cooker kept it in. I tried the brawn but didn't like it, but OH did so I made it several times.

and additional bunting for PP and a 21 mile "plod", - I expect bint will be reporting in soon. Enjoy Turkey, PP, - why can't you run outside in Turkey?

I have a pigs head and some trotters in the freezer, didn't get around to brawn this Christmas, but I usually make one for my dad who loves it :) I don't remember horrible smells either ? To be honest though, brawn is a waste of cheeks, which slow roasted beat even belly fr sumptiousness.

Fab running and cake ing PP, sounds like a good day out

Like most things, if you grow up with them, they are fine. But the thought of brawn doesn't appeal at all!
Well run PP and supersonic bint

bunting is deserved by all the racers today, I reckon! bunting
Bastard intervals done, bit too close to having a meal at Zizzis earlier, what with that and the first mile accidentally being 7.38 I very nearly chucked up. Reined it back in a bit and held onto my pizza though :)
