Trying to. Find an excuse not to do a long run. It is horrible out there. Porridge on. Good luck to AL in Southport. I used to go on day trips there when I grew up in Wigan. Been back in the last year. The sea is still so far out :) the pier has some of the old arcade games which operate with the pre-decimal pennies. Right, to paraphrase Buzz Lightyear .... "To the kitchen, and beyond!"

luck to AL
Hope bint and PP survive the weather on the ups and Downs.
Haslet sounds disgusting when you see what it contains, but it is really tasty. Same with haggis - if I'd known what it was made from I'd probably never have tried it. A few of my staff were talking about haggis in the staffroom on Friday lunchtime. One of them had never tried it and was working out how it's made. I told her that haggis are little creatures that run around the Scottish Highlands, Their arms and legs are chopped off and the haggiswe eat is their body. Another teacher joined in saying they have webbed feet and described the sound they make. By the end, the other teacher was very nearly convinced :-) Until *Sense of Humour by-pass Teacher* stepped in and told her we were making it up.

Morning everyone! That's the last time I have a lie-in. OH got up earlier and didn't notice when the dog had pinched my debit card off the sofa (I entered a race in July, last night) and she has chewed it to bits. The woman on the bank helpline asked me to read the last 4 digits out to her and I couldn't as they'd been totally obliterated :-0

At least I got my race entry done :-)

Good luck runners and racers! Still very breezy here, and although it's dry now it poured all night. I will go for a run at some point but I'll let the worst of the run-off clear as some drivers are very inconsiderate and drive at speed through puddles, splashing anyone on the pavements or edge of the road.

Feeling low today. I might not get out at all. If I don't, I'll make up for it next week. Not sure I can be pushed into anything, either, whereas normally I respond well to a bit of bullying. Meh.
