Happy birthday, Jacs' youngest. My eldest will be 40 later this year, which I am finding rather hard to get my head around.

Som - glad you're sticking with your name. I would find it hard to think of you under another one.

Windy here in mid-Wales, and relentless rain. The paving-stones at the top end of my garden are awash, because the lawn is now so waterlogged that the water can't drain away into it.

Sorry for the language but what a shitty crappy day.....it's days like today where I regret going back to work. Bigmac's sick and I wasn't there for her. She had brought up what I thought was phlegm this morning as she's been coldy. But was fine after so we sent her in. She then got sick in class. The poor thing had to wait an hour for OH to get back from work as they couldn't get hold of me (I was on a course only 15 mins away but there was no phone reception). He had to bring his business consultants that are over from Europe home with him so not very professional. Then school send out an email with advice about keeping your kids off if they are ill. I've now had to email my work to say I'll be off tomorrow with her having been off today on my course and last week will illness. So feel guilty all round now. I think i'll be off to the local shops for wine and chocolate once i can get rid of the business consultants that are in my dining room!!!!!!

So.....

Hope your day/week improves mac
Welcome Mr PN
Happy Birthday to Jacs' youngest
I like the name too Som - it'd be hard to find another name to match your avatar :-P

Well done to all that ran or plan to run in the awful weather - I managed to find a non-wet window straight after work before we got it. Hopefully it won't have made the riverside path into too much of a mess for tomorrows run into work, but I'm assuming Milton park will be Hellrunneresque in places :-)

And pizza for tea tonight!!! I've been thinking about it all day.

Spent half hour this afternoon watching fellow Fetchies Facebook movies.

Mine appears to have somewhat of a morph theme running through it.

Hello all, hope nobody has been blown or washed away :-o

I took the 78 bus all the way from Nunhead to Shoreditch this morning, left at 7:30 and got in at 8:45. Not brilliant, considering my commute is usually 45 mins, but OK. And I got a seat and read my book all the way so I can't complain. I'm going to attempt the Overground on the way home, current indications are that it's running well.

But I'm not going to bootcamp tonight. I'm deferring until Sunday morning. The weather is horrid, I'm not sure what time I'll get in, and I have more walls to wash. Plus I have a banging headache after dealing with billing all day, trying (and eventually succeeding) to find £20 that had gone AWOL from a £250k+ report, and then having a numpty trainee who can't read/follow instructions. I'm tired.

However, I am very happy to see that Bint is doing Kent Roadrunner :-) She can get the beers in for me, I'll be running for hours after she's finished ;-)

Oh dear, crappy days for some today :-( Hope Bigmac bounces back quickly form the sicky bug.

I'm not going running tonight. I know it'll be "exhilarating" and the club FB page will be full of "wowee that that was amaaazing!" type posts afterwards but it is truly foul here - the rain and wind have been battering on the windows all day. I reckon some of our lighter ladies could get blown over!

Thanks for all the welcomes peeps.

Honest - I wasn't really that bothered about last year, I bet before the invention of GPS watches courses were out by a few yards all the time. It was my first marathon and only 5 miles from my house, so can't moan. I hope they bring it back next year. I think the half course this year looks good, should be fun. I've got three months to get myself in shape...

It has been "a bit of a day" all round by the sounds of it
Massive Bint hugs to those that need them.

Drink wine.
That's what I'm doing in response to my day.

Day off tomorrow and intervals are on the cards :-)

Tough cycle home. I had too much stuff in my panniers, the wind was in my face again and there was a bit too much traffic. I'm not one of those people who can weave through the gaps and I had to get off and push it over one junction when I ended up in the wrong lane :-O Luckily I'm taking waaaay less stuff in with me tomorrow and it's going to be less windy too :-)

I am now having a large cup of coffee and extra chocolate to recover!

((hugs)) and champagne to people who need them :-)
