Tea, toast and pyjamas and I'm just about warming up after my 10 mile lsr. It was WET! But not raining when we started so of course i didn't wear my waterproof... first run of the program-the organisers are great and put out drinks, jelly babies and bananas half way round and at the end. Lovely company at the right pace too. |

Got up at 7.00am and left for my lsr.... 2 hour slow run done. Made myself go slow as I wanted to make sure that the legs didn't fall apart. Seemed to work fine. Only got rained on for the last 2 miles. Now going to prepare for a HUGE Sunday roast

Well done to all that ran in the damp conditions and hope the racers had good races. I never thought I'd be jealous of people running in the rain I think I'll be back from the bench in a week after a decent massage yesterday. Glad it's not a stress fracture Meg, hopefully you'll be back soon. I asked Mrs A about her wedding dress and got myself into the threat of renewing vows and all the associated gubbins. *gulp* |

That's good news, Mega - hope it heals up soon. Mave (or whoever's getting married)- there's always the option of just getting married in a dress. We didn't bother with the meringue look at all, and if I remember correctly, the dress cost about £23 in the sales. inbaal.com RC - yoga sounds like a *much* better idea in this weather. I've just been in a scalding-hot bubble bath for nearly an hour and I'm still chilly on the inisde...

Who said hail doesn't last long ? Just back from a very wet and muddy 16 - with hail and/or sleety rain for most of the last hour ! Yuck I phoned home in the lst mile t get daughter to run me a bath - I think I'm warmed through, except for my right big toe which is still white and numb! Need to blog that one I think! |

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2014 thread. Here is the groups link: http://www.fetcheveryone.com/groups-view.php?id=1147
All you have to do is run about 1.92 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.
