D'evening all. If I could just mention my experience of multiple runs (not rear quarters, mind). I sometimes run a couple of miles with wifey, and that serves as recovery from an interval session the previous day, or as a warm-up and loosener for my own run later on in the day, or sometimes straight after her run.

LD, I do hope you manage a run tomorrow, and you stay injury-free after so long off running. Take it cautiously though, and stop for a walk break if necessary.

I did my first time trial of 2014 this morning, along a tarmacced cycleway which follows the course of the river along the Swansea Valley. It was slightly uphill outward, and slightly downhill on the return. There was a little rain, but the cycleway is sheltered by trees most of the way. I did 2.3 miles at 8:30 /ml., which is slower than previously, but I tell myself that it's because it's less than a month since starting back again after some persistent injury probs.

I do hope that others on the bench (not JPs of course) will soon be back running again.

Morning all, club session last night. Can I swear? So far behind where I used to be pre-injury. Did a pursuit run which involves groups of 8 setting off on a 5 mile run, running in a straight line at steady tempo with continuous back person to the front sprints. Brutal! Our group started off as 7, then 2 dropped off about 2 miles in, then I dropped off. Hate this session and next time it is on if no.1 son says to me 15 mins before I head out, as he did last night, "we're short at footy tonight- fancy it?" I'm doing footy. I'm better at that and always have been.

When do the endorphins kick in? Grrrrrr.

That sounds horrid, Mick.
Morning Bernards. I'm dragging my sorry carcass to circuits, then this afternoon running with a friend.

I *have* to go running this lunchtime! I'm writing it here so I can't change my mind later on.

I had a go at one of those sessions once, MTS. Funny how I haven't ever been tempted to have another go ;-)

Have a good Wednesday everyone :-)

Sharktopus is going to hanging around lunchtime. Excellent. Saves me having to buy a sandwich.

Lovely running everyone. I'm jealous. But I did go swimming this morning and it was lovely. Hip is a little better I think but still far from OK and I'm still on max dose neurofen so I'm not sure i'd be able to tell if it was worse. I'm giving it the two weeks the dr said then I will either go back or try to find a physio.

Watford race numbers turned up for me and Billy Whizz. I really want to do it, even if I have to run/walk it. But OH thinks I am mad. It's 1.5 weeks away....
