On consideration I think I won't do Combat today. My legs are trashed. Might do a spot of yoga later.

You don't look for half a day and this thread fills up like nobody's business! I think I love each and every one of you that give me so much entertaining reading of a morning :-)

Hope your foot is ok Meglet, and congratulations to GM on a benchmark number of posts :-)

Is there any room left on the bench? Either I've hurt my ankle and it's running pain up my shin or I've hurt my shin and it's running pain down into my ankle! Maybe running on it yesterday wasn't too smart, so it looks like a few days or so rest....

Morning all. What a week! I am so ready for a *beer* tonight. :)

And of course getting out for a run tomorrow. My quad pain last week turned into hip pain for the second half of this week so I'm still struggling to get up any decent milage whatsoever. Skipping todays planned run in favour of a hopefully pain free run tomorrow and a fresh start to a new week next week where I can hopefully manage to meet the weekly target!

So many injuries :-( I hope you all take good care of yourselves and heal quickly then ease back gently. Take your time to return to full power running and it may help keep you injury free.

Just to clarify; I have no idea what full power running is as even my speediest pace is little more than everybody else's tortoise shuffle, but I understand that you probably stride further so stretch and twang things more.

After being on the bench for way too long last year my motto for 2014 is 'Long and Slow'

For me if I run slower it seems I get less injuries. But now I have to run much much further to burn the same calories so I can still eat cake :-)

Ultra marathons here we come.
