It looks interesting. If it starts at 10.30 (which I think it does) then I can get to Bramley Station. Is that nearby?

Evening all.

I had a very disappointing Interval session this morning. It was supposed to be 1 mile warm up and cool down plus 16 x 200m reps with 30sec RI.

I went to one of my usual flat, straight spots only to be inundated with dog walkers as their usual walking haunts are flooded at the moment - most of them completely irresponsible. We had, walkers who thought it was acceptable to let their pooch off the lead to "say hi" to everyone around. Those with those stoopid long leads - what's the point in those? They either trip people up or let the animal run for ages after someone before the dreamy owner realises the dog is off and pulls it back or finally. Or the idiot woman who must have only weighed about 7 stone with the Akita weighing about 7 stone. She looked terrified that it would run off and I so didn't trust that she'd be able to control it when I ran by so I moved to location number two to be confronted by more dogs running loose, grrrrr. I'm terrified of dogs and I don't care how much you tell me that your doggie won't touch me, I DON'T KNOW IT NOR TRUST IT, keep it under control. Rant over.

Anyway, managed about 10 or 11 reps before heading home. A few more miles done before heading to the War Museum at Duxford, with the family. Good day out :-)

Good work Molesy - I am also v satisfied by now knowing.

I am avoiding the grammar pedants thread as I know I would LOVE It and I already spend too much time on here. Jobs, kids, lives outside of running *GASP* you know. It's a bind. But I might have a look in this week...... *edges off towards thread*

Well done all runners. I have really missed my LSR today but am planning a swim in the week. Hope injuries and illness for those suffering improve soon.

Evening all. Well done to all that have ran. I'm getting a bit narked off now - cough is still here. Grrrrr.

I nearly killed a dog today. Stupid owners taking a young dog out on a very long lead, on a main road. It ran straight out infront of me, and I had to slam the brakes on. Thankfully there was no-one driving behind, as I had the small dude in the car.

Apologies to dog owners, but they really do get on my tits. I've lost count of the runs that have involved dumbass dogs going for me, or just being aggro.

Bint, this is my only look in to this thread. In reply to your post nearly 24 hours ago, I am awake late because I get up around 7.30, and you must remember that I am theoretically retired - ha! ha! tell my family that.

No run today, but I hope to go for a track session at the club tomorrow.

Bramley is pretty flat, Bint. Bramley station is about 100 yards away, but you have to change at Reading to get there, it'd probably be easier to get the crap train from Waterloo to Wokingham and get a lift with CStar. I'm not sure what we're doing for half term yet but if we're not away you're welcome to stay with us.

Being a dog owner, I totally agree with your rant macapple. our oldest dog is twitchy around other dogs so goes into attack mode as a form of defence if approached by other dogs. Those idiots who let their dogs roam free saying *They only want to play* would be quite upset if our dog bit their's. Idon't know that she would but her heckles go up and she snarls when she feels threatened. Being a rescue dog, we don't know what happened to her in the first couple of years of her life. Jess doesn't want to play. she barely tolerates Harvey at times!

On a lighter note; I got up at 5:15 and have enjoyed a pleasantly relaxed 4 miles steady run in the dark with the stars twinkling. Have a good day everyone :-)

LD - you need to come back slowly. My physio recommended only a 1 mile run 3 times in the first week, a 2 mile run 3 times in the second week, a 3 mile run 3 times in the the third week then start to build up slowly. Better to be safe than sorry. Think of the bigger picture.

Some great running been going on, nice work everyone. Off to Paris for a few days and hope to run along that river at some point.
