Thanks for good wishes guys. Have woken up feeling a little better.

Evangel, happy bday to your Mum - that's amazing! My Dad is 82 and I'm thankful for his continued good health.

Everyone that's ill/injured, I hope you feel better soon. Happy running to all the others in the lovely running weather (at least in London it is). I'm jealous.

Tempo run done, I think we hit the right pace. My friend died on her arse after 2 miles :) And fell on her arse at 1 mile, very icy out there this morning. Beautiful running weather though :)

We're back from an extremely blowy walk up on Cleeve Hill again - amazing how the conditions change from one day to the next! Still, it blew the cobwebs away :-) I've done the drive and have a nice little pile of sticks which will make good kindling if it ever gets cold enough for a log fire. And now I'm in the outdoor groove I will go and cut back some brambles in the garden this afternoon.

Would still have preferred to go for a run though - well done everyone who has run , and hope the XC was good Karl!

35 minutes of core done *dusts halo* - Mr AL due back from his 9 miler shortly, buddy & I lined up for later. Meant to be a good pace but we haven't seen each other since before Xmas so we have lots to chat about - so there's a dilemma!

Morning ( just ) all :)

How come it's not yet cold enough for a log fire LD? we've had one most evenings since about the end of October ( but maybe that's beause I don't put the heating on much ?)

Well done all runners this morning :)

HOW'S THE HEAD J*C ?

Lovely, fabulous, gorgeous 13 sunny, frosty, icy and muddy miles this morning - should have done an extra lp of the fields to make it 14 - but I was ready for a cup of tea one I got close to home.

Jacs - horrible when you get one virus after another. i was laid up over new year. all better now, hope you will be too soon.

Long, for me, run this morning. 7 miles on a gorgeous frosty morning. love running when its like this. first proper training week completed. really pleased with 23 miles but more so going out twice in the cold dark wet weather after work.

Autmn leaves(or anyone else) - can you point me to any good resources on core exercises for running. I have googled it and there's a lot of stuff out there, what do people tend to use and how frequently? Thanks.

STUPID QUESTION ALERT

So my trainers are all muddy after 4 muddy parkruns. I notice this makes them stiff. Should I clean them? If so, how?

The dye runs on them so not keen on putting them in the washing machine....

PS my difficult conversation went well and I feel much better for having done it. Onwards and upwards.
