Just checking in. V busy today.

Knackered after bootcamp last night. That's knackered, not knockered, by the way.

Bye. xx

I'm back at work. Huzzah.

Fleecy great idea re emergency knackers. If I go swimming mine sometimes hide. When we did hell up north they actually hid for a day or two. I had to coax them out with a hot bath.

Have a splendid day all. I'm writing this week off for running and hoping to start again middle of next week. We'll see.

I'm loving this thread :-)

I'm hoping it stays this (a) happy, (b) chatty, (c) daft. Please tell me it never degenerates into squabbling?

Intervals: I used to do them in the park, around a sort-of marked out track but also using trees/lampposts as markers. At the moment I don't have a route or anything. I'm pretty sure that running round the big block from my house is 1 mile so I could use that I suppose. I need to work out my routine so that I don't run home on interval days but instead get the bus or train and then do intervals round this route. If I run home (along Bishopsgate in the City, Tower Bridge, Jamaica Road etc) I can just about fartlek but proper measured intervals are impossible because of the pedestrians and roads to cross. I don't have time to do them at lunchtime, what with changing, finding somewhere to do them, then showering again afterwards.

And it's doubly difficult at the moment when it's so dark. As the evenings get lighter it will be better.

I haven't found anywhere to do intervals in the dark, but in daylight - and if I wanted to - there is a farm track exactly 800m long I can use. I hate intervals though!

This thread has not degenerated into squabling as far as I can remember

This thread is one big happy sunbeam :) Sharktopus eats anyone feeling a bit squabbly.
Detachable knackers, that's what you need Formerly!
Well I finally did my intervals on the treadie. Really not sure I could do mile intervals on it though. I'll have to have a think. The only long straight roads round here without too many side streets or traffic tend to be a bit hilly. There are lots of gates n shit on the river path, but the canal could work. Though again its actually quite hilly as the nearest long straight bit has locks. Hmm.
