That's ok. I can wait patiently when I have to. And it does sound particularly exciting. I'm sure it won't all be an anticlimax when The Plan is finally revealed, after making me wait a few days. :-)

I'm unlikely to do more than 3 or 4 races in the whole year, so maybe all mine should go in. Especially as I haven't entered any yet!

When I ran the Lake Vyrnwy Half, I was beaten by a handful of women in their 70s, and one in her 80s.

On my leg of the Round Norfolk Relay, I was beaten by everyone. Literally!

I disagree, Carp. You beat all the millions of people who never get off their sofa.

Or they exist in a parallel universe, where they know not of what people like us do. On balance it's probably better they do. Can you imagine races with millions? It'd be even worse than the big name races are now (some of them anyway!).

Good point. There are already a lot of races which require staying up until the entries open, then being fast on t'internet buttons.

Has anyone on the thread ever actually won a race?

I keep looking for little 5K's that no one has ever heard of to see if I might sneak in, but there's always some bloody whippet that is doing the same. I cam 4th in the Cromer Carnival fun run one year. That was my best!
