Morning 700-ers

Meglet - I've known similar people!

Ev - that is very impressive. We have a chap at work with a similar record. It's not even like he struggles in with a cold or anything. He just never gets ill. Witchcraft!
Get well soon, Som (and everyone else still struggling with the lurgy)

Work today and already looking forward to my run home :-)
Have a lovely day, whatever you're up to.

I took 3 days off sick in 7-odd years, never got ill, then took up running and gave up smoking and had a zillion infections.

I've not had a day off work on sick since 1996 - rhat was due to a whiplash injury causing me pain when I wrote on the blackboard (and when sitting, standing, moving etc) - other than when I had an operation in 2001. From returning in february 2002, I've not had a sick day.

Yes, I've worked with people who made a point of taking as much sick leave as possible. This was when I was working in local government during the late 90's and noughties whereas when I was in the civil service for 12 years (partly before the Thatcher era which demonised public service) people were much less likely to abuse sick leave.

Not sure what exercise I can fit in today, my sister and brother in law return from Australia but I've just had a text to say they've been held up changing planes in Dubai because of rain! :-0

Morning gonk. *scratches arse and looks bleary eyed*

Lots of coughing last night, off to make a hot drink in a minute. :-)

Have a good day Bint, and a good run home.

LOL @ Carps :-) Running and not smoking are meant to be good for you. :-P

jacs, I've not paid for any races yet but have a few in mind....need to get well again then I'll start booking them in.

GM, that deserves a medal.

LD, hope the rain stops soon! I think people from Dubai should visit Manchester to understand what rain really is.

Morning, lovely Bernardboococks!
Nice plan there, CStar :) I'm deliberating about Bramley, for some reason I didn't really feel the love for it last year. I did enjoy the offroad stuff most last year. I definitely need a road 10k or 2 though, that's bound to be a PB.
Dentist and orthodontist for the kids today and ds2 is off all day. Intervals may be at the gym later but I have to wait and see.

What are the plans for our 700 Social race(s)?

I'm afraid HUN put me off hellrunner - not the course, as that was brilliant, but they simply had way too many people and the queuing was chaotic (could have been dangerous if it was a bit colder or windier) - I feel a bit of a wimp saying that!!

Morning everyone. Waiting for people to come in and redo our bathroom - expecting complete chaos for the next few days!
