I imagine the North downs are hilly too? I am ashamed to say I have never run on them .. will put that right this year

My route had one *massive* hill in it which took ages to walk up - it was water on top of mud on top of chalk. After that though it was mostly undulating on top of the ridge.

In a way I suppose the South Downs (after beachy & the 7 sisters) are like that: you do a big slog up the hill then get a fairly level route on top until a descent into the next valley. Rinse and repeat for 100 miles.

No naughty pictures in London today btw, plans scuppered by another blinding headache in the wee hours grrr. Still debating a short plod in the rain and dark. Maybe if I put some kit on I'd be a bit closer to getting out of the door.

Well done all that have ran.

I'm keeping an eye on this cough, don't want to end up in hospital like last year (hideous chest infection that needed antibiotics, steroids etc)....may take tomorrow off and go to the doctors and try to get some antibiotics.

All you have to do is run about 1.92 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.
