Ooh. I need all of those things, and a trisuit.

And a Garmin. Or maybe two.

Should we have a thread lottery ticket?

I also said I'd never run a marathon. Or another half.

You have a trisuit, Bint? I can't recall your having done a tri.

I also need new shoes. And like the sound of those Drymax socks. Shall hope to get new shoes while in ThatLondon next week.

Been swimming. Did rather better this time. Got more attention from the teacher, which helped, - and the lifeguard joined in with Good Advice, too.

LD - hope the blood test went OK. Miserable, having to start the day with no tea, no coffee and no breakfast.

Ev - we have a "waste food" collection as well; but everything compostable gets composted, it's mainly fish skin and chicken bones that go out for collection. At the old house we had a big square wooden composter with an open top and a "compost duvet" lying on top to keep the warmth in. One day I took the duvet off and beheld a rat. Got the pest extermination people round from the local council; once assured that the rats had gone, I moved the composter right down the garden (it had previously been quite close to the house) and got a rat-proof tumbler on a stand.
