Thanks Fleecio (have you just booked a trip to Italy :-p) The 'long and slow' approach is working so well for me. I am loving every single run still after last years injuries. I have clocked up over 500 miles so far this year, can't quite believe that. But still not as many as Bint.

Don't tell Bint but if the going gets tough I am hoping to get a lift off a Pony to get to the finish line.

It is called the Pony Express after all :-)

Am also jealous though I couldn't even run 20 miles let alone 30. I'm sure it will be great.

The thread's gone all Earnest. Everyone's talking about running.

I have spent the afternoon in the garden, delving into the older of my two composters. I have discovered two things:

1. The "compostable" bags that supermarkets sell, for you to put inside your kitchen waste caddy prior to adding it all to the compost - they're not compostable. Well, not at the same rate as banana skins, apple cores and cauliflower stalks, anyway.

2. Some tea bags may be compostable, but some definitely are not.

All you have to do is run about 1.92 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.
