:( bint. Be careful, I hope you're not I'll.

Happy Birthday NN cake champagne pint

I will have your buttercups LD. Way better than the evil nettles taking over my lawn. I can't get rid of them, they just multiply.

Hope you are ok Bint. Were you in Dulwich Pk? I did a couple of loops there today on the way to Hornimans and One Tree Hill. Loads of hils. My gluteus are screaming now and I'm shattered. Was going to be 15 miles but 12 with lots of hills seemed adequate. Will need a snooze soon.

Have a very happy birthday Ninky. That reminds me that my wife is in the process of making a birthday card for a dear friend at church who is blind. It involves gluing on lots of tiny beads for braille letters, and it's easy to make a mistake. Obviously the whole card has to be 3-dimensional. Her patience is far greater than mine!

Carpy, I read your late night response. I can best sum up my thoughts as follows: a) Very flattered! b) You're naughty - but nice! c) My Christian beliefs don't actually make provision for Bigamy! d) Nearly half a century separates us! d) Our respective spice (plural of 'spouse') might have something to say about it!

A comma before 'and' at the end of a list is generally unnecessary and incorrect, unless to avoid ambiguity.

This morning I did a 3-mile easy-paced run, with no real ill-effects. Wifey also did a run, but on the treadmill. Do try to be patient those who are injured - you will get better, honestly.

Happy Birthday, NN :-)

I always thought the Oxford comma was a matter of preference rather than correct or incorrect (although this coming from someone who didn't even finish high school so I'm perfectly prepared to be wrong!). Is 'spice' really the plural of 'spouse'? I never knew that.
And don't panic Ev, my marital vows don't allow for second husbands either so you're quite safe ;)

Hope you're feeling better Bint.

Run was a disaster. No energy, knee hurt, lots of walk breaks. Not sure why I keep running out of energy - was tired by 13 miles in London, parkrun on Saturday left me feeling like death for the rest of the day (went to bed at midday) and today I slept late, got up, and then fell asleep early in the afternoon for nearly 2 hours. After all that you'd think I would be able to manage one easy little 4 mile run without feeling shattered.

And no, I won't be doing a marathon or anything approaching one soon. Pipe dreams and wishful thinking!
