morning! Happy Saturdays everyone :-)
naughty dog Ahote, didn't anyone tell him chocolate is not good for dogs?! I would be gutted to lose an Easter egg! I said jokingly to Mr B that I was expecting a big egg for Easter, he said I don't buy you choc because you say you want to eat healthily/lose weight .. he just doesn't get it, that doesn't apply at Easter/birthday/Christmas

Us poor men do struggle when it comes to the crazy rules that women have about chocolate :-P

I took revenge on the dog by flea treating him and taking him out for a long easter walk! He doesn't seem any worse yet for his food theft, although he seems immune to chocolate poisoning - he once stole a family box of Millies cookies from the top of the microwave and had no ill effect!

Brrrrrrrrrr *turns up thread heating*

I went to parkrun ready to run. I had to get there early because I had the laptop and tokens, timers etc from last week. As yesterday, I woefully underestimated how damn cold it is :-( Started running but dropped out after a mile - my knee is still sore from yesterday (I needed ibuprofen for the first time for many weeks last night :-(), I was cold and just not feeling the love. Instead I was the Easter Bunny handing out little choccie eggs to our junior parkrunners at the end which was a lot more fun. :-)

Going to go for a hot shower now then will put some properly warm clothes on before I walk the dog!

Morning all.

Hope the knee starts to behave LD.

Had a great night's sleep and am just back from a brilliant run. The aim was 7 miles at 9 minute miling....did 7.09 at 8:59 pace. Pretty good.

Just demolishing some crisps and coke. :-)

Small dude is going to the beach with granny today while I take her grandad and my nephew to the football.

Morning - we have sunshine here. I'm just back from fat club and my comfort eating from the start of week when I decided to pull out of marathon has meant a wee gain - oh well.

I'm at a bit of a loose end, don't know what to do today. I should really go for a drive somewhere nice that I can get a walk in, clear my head as I'm in a grump. But can I even be bothered with that. My lunch is in the oven, so will decide by the time that's all done. Humph.

J*C - in what way is chocolate bad for dogs? Is it the chocolate itself, or the things that tend to go with it, such as sugar? I would not feel very happy with a dog that ate my Easter egg.

Star - definitely go for that drive.

LD - is this a long-term problem with the knee, or a short-term one?

Before-breakfast run today, 5 and a half hilly miles, sunny but cold wind especially on the high exposed bits. Was lovely, though; should go out early more often.

I've had the same conversation with Mr GM, .B. He doesn't get it lol
I got to Huddersfield ok but it was so popular that I couldn't get parked and ended up half a mile away. By the time I'd walked to the start, the parkrun had begun but I found Meglet ok and we watched RichMac, MinnieMad, Amanda 68 and NickiNoMiles run past.
It's freezing here! None of the sunshine that was forecast.

Columba, this is the knee injury when the dogs knocked me over in December. It has never recovered 100%, and is ok for flattish road running but much less happy when it comes to off-road steep hills.

The cloud that came over this morning has blown away again but the wind is still like a knife. I thought I would be gardening but instead I'm Fetching and watching Murder at the Gallops. :-)
