(((Rosehip))) - sounds like you were sensible. Rest up.

Well, my journey down to Hampshire could have been awful but daughter behaved really well even though she was bored. What a little dude. The M1 was shut for a whole junction - a bad accident, hopefully the lorry driver who's in hospital will be OK - it took us 4 hours to do the first 20 miles or so of our journey. We had one stop and did the 212 mile journey in 7:30. Phew. I was glad to get to my parents and stop looking at roads!

I'm excited about a run in the morning - running along the coast at Lee-on-Solent. Plan is to do 7 miles or so. Can't be arsed to get up for parkrun.

Daughter's in bed, dad is at a train thing and mum has gone for a walk down to the beach. *peace* :-)

That sounds blissful (once the journey was out of the way)

In other news, I've entered a 1 mile race. My faster running mate from parkrun is aiming for 5:30, I guess I'll finish around 6:15-6:30ish.

it's OK , I shouldn't have started really.

will treat it as a long run, rest up for a few dwys and get back oyt there with 15-20s on the trail. If it wasn't laps I'd have toughed it out and finished - but this way at least I shouldn't hace made whatevef twanged worse!
was pleased with splits up to 12 :)

Have a lovely weekend,Som :-)

There's a funny creaking sound coming from the ceiling. I do hope the bath isn't about to fall through as Mr GM has just gone to work and I could really do without the mess *sigh*.

The bath falling through the ceiling isn't the first thing I'd think of GM - has your house got previous in bits of the upstairs falling through the ceiling?:-0

No, but the creaking is coming from underneath the bath. I just assumed it might be that :-) Or poltergeists. And I don't like the idea of those.
