Unless matters improve significantly with my heel in the next couple of weeks then I am going to bin this as a target for 2011.
The good thing is that I can cycle so am going to carry on with that for the rest of the month and then I can try a run/walk from early May. Bit of a bugger but hey ho

Well done on your 5k PB HB; Get well soon Caz; Dai hope your heel gets better too targets are just numbers your body is more important.

I had a slow week last week with no running at the weekend at all, life just getting in the way :-). Hope to get back to some higher mileage this week but I'm not too keen on running when its hot, felt for those guys at Brighton marathon a the weekend.

Its been quiet on here - how's everyone getting on - hope you're all fighting fit and enjoyed Easter.

I had a week off running, doing much needed jobs round the house and garden, oh and drinking a few too many beers and eating loads so I hope to get back on track this week. I'm comfortably ahead of my mileage target so still confident I'll make 1000km this year.

Next race for me is Bognor prom 10k on 15 May, I'm hoping to beat my best time for the course (47:55) and if I pull my finger out (training wise) and the wind is kind I might even have a shy at my PB (45:09) although that feels like a long shot.

I'm about 30 miles down - shan't stress though - it's only an arbitrary target

Caz.
Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well. It has been very quiet on here! I too ate and drank too much over Easter, so it's time for me to get back on track now!

I have bounced back from my spell of hayfever/asthma, although my mileage isn't as high as before. I've been doing shorter runs lately.

Anyway, I'm now up to 488K (303 miles), still comfortably ahead of target thank goodness :-)

Hi Caz it has been quiet on her - You're going great Caz, hope you're fully over your problems.

I'm steadily ticking on at around about 2 miles per day, I'm on 258 so far and should achieve ny 1000km target providing I don't get any injuries or a servere case of CBA.

Got a race on 15 May - 10k at Bognor, hoping I can beat my best time there from 2008, a PB will be a big ask as I seem to have lost a bit of speed in my ageing legs.

Hello - still running though not been doing such long distances. Had a couple of races recently but looking for another half to try out. Looks like the rains going to hold off so might try something a bit longer today. zehnderboy good luck for the 15th.
