Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I'm feeling moderately smug since despite slowly declining performances I'm still going - and I know into your 60s isn't that old, but I know a lot of youngsters who I can still give a good run for their money!

Running is still taking a bit of a back seat for the moment, walking is my new thing, I did an off road marathon at the weekend in 7.02, a highly respectable walk pace I think you will agree, long term plan is to walk the Yorkshire 3 peaks in September.

Ooh! I’d forgotten about this thread! And now I am a V60 too. I hope jennywren and Sharkie will remain on this thread for many years to offer wisdom to the youngsters and show us how to keep on doing what we do!

Personally pleased to have logged my first V60 marathon a couple of weeks ago. It went well and involved some planned run-walk, so that’s a triumph of age/experience over youthful enthusiasm.

It is a great photo! That’s a stonking walking time Mrs J, really well done.

I’m still doing my strength training at the Big Boys gym and doing a bit of joggin’ Did a 10k race the weekend before last and was doing ok until about 8k in when I tripped over nothing and fell over. Had a swollen knee for about a week so haven’t run since. It’s getting better though.
