Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I wouldn’t dream of calling them dolphins.

I'm glad to hear it! x

Dolphins themselves are completely wonderful and even have a sense of humour. Excellent

4x800 metre intervals tonight, trying to maintain 8:20m/m pace (but bettered that slightly) followed by 3 mins recovery.

It’s the first time that I’ve had a crack at this distance, having done 4x400 once before.

Strangely, I found that my last 800 was fastest. Maybe because I was more warmed up? (I had done just over a mile warm up before I started the session). Although, maybe the thought of nearing the end of a tough workout inspired me to hurry to get it over with!

Anyway, warmed down and home, I feel quite encouraged and will try to make it part of a week plan. Most of my runs are at a fairly similar pace which obviously doesn’t make for a great deal of improvement.

Nice one ER! interesting that you noted your last interval was fastest.

I did a 7 mile tempo run last night, my range was 8 - 8.10 minutes, 3 of them were sub 8 with 5 & 6 the fastest, I would have assumed I would have slowed rather than quickened pace.

I’m doing something well scary this Saturday and running in a 1500m track race. My running club is organising it and I felt I ought to take part, even though the last (and only) time I tried to run a race on the track I had a massive panic attack and had to stop. That was 5000m though so I’m hoping this one will go ok. Wish me luck!

Wishing you luck Jenny! 1500 is more manageable, 5000 sounds a nightmare 😳

I keep telling myself it’s less than 4 laps of the track! I’ve asked to go in the slowest race too so that should help. Still a bit petrified though 😳
