Beamsley Beacon is our "local". You can see it from our upstairs landing windows and I've run (and walked) up it many times since I moved to the village 12 years ago. My best time is a second or two under 50 minutes in the BOFRA race in 2007 (or 2008) but an hour and a bit is a nice leisurely run

Having seen the various "52 threads" I thought I'd commit to 52 Beacons this year but then I remembered I'm 53 in May so thought I'd add one more for luck

Tonight we (me, Stef and Tussock vizsla) had a steady jog up in the last of the light and headtorched back home. One down . . . ;-)

Is there an actual list of beacons?

Got something to say?
