A marathon is 42k. Would it be terribly different?

(This is not in any way an expert opinion on the subject)

Based on my current 50k training, I sincerely hope not, Nellers...

Like a marathon, but don't stop.
I wouldn't train differently unless it was on odd terrain....

As I see it, I've done a marathon in 3:27 this year, and one in almost 5 hours. My 50k's going to be like the 5 hr one in terms of time on feet, but without the hills.

Long run's the key, innit?

What event PJ?
