Officially 105, but you can gain quite a bit at check points, both due to moving around looking for what you need and also weak GPS signal indoors. Not to mention little diversions off the path for wee stops :-) I didn't have any navigational blips at all :-)

Well done everyone.

My consistency of running is good at the moment, looks like I'm on target to break the 3k by the end of the month.

And done.... see you all next year.

... My slightly flippant comment does make light of a lot of effort this year. My previous "best" was 3,400 last year so to reach 3k by the end of August is a major push.

The 'Run Until You Drop' challenge in Feb coordinated by Binks and myself gave me a good start but its been the training for Spartathlon over the past 2 months which has really helped me motor onwards. I'm currently on my 9th 100 mile week in a row and have 1 more big mileage week planned before the taper.

The benefit of the consistent mileage has been obvious with a Marathon and 50k PB's being set during these high mileage weeks with no taper/rest so the fitness is looking ok at the moment.

Great running, Avon - and good to hear you're seeing the training benefit from such high mileage too.

My attempt at 3000 in 2015 is looking doomed - am well down on last year already, and not getting the miles in at all. Not the end of the world of course, just lacking motivation I guess.

I've fallen right off the 3000 target, though the need to keep up a streak of sub-3 marathon times each year will need me to break out of a spell of laziness.

ach well, looks like I will fall just over 100 miles short, however barring disaster I should at least set a new annual mileage record
