3 week 10k training plan

I have 3 weeks till my first league race in years. Just wondered what the collective hive mind of fetch land would recommend to do for the next 3 weeks. I have a decent level of fitness (by my standards). The more prescriptive the better. I like to be told what to do 😊.

carry on as you are. You can't build up much in the way of fitness but you could help yourself mentally by doing a couple of sessions close to race pace, 4x5 mins, 5x1k, something like that, to practice how it feels...

Don't go crazy, don't get injured. 100+ miles last month - think you are ready.

Don't do a parkrun the day before! and maybe drop the long run? Try one of your fakeparkruns at race pace? And a little bit of (non-injurious) faster stuff: short intervals a bit above 5K pace. Will it be hilly? If so, run some hill repeats.

Thanks everyone. Think it's a pretty flat route that would be PB potential if I was fully prepared. A fake parkrun at race pace is definitely a good idea. Did my first interval session in 2 months today. 6x2 minutes with 2 minutes recovery. The pace was a bit above 5k so looks like I've followed your advice Dvorak πŸ˜‰
