I want to use my hotel loyalty points before they expire, drink a pint in a building that I don't own and travel somewhere on a train. I could do all these things in one fell swoop. But not for a while yet... I'd also like to spend a whole weekend with my parents. Likewise, that'll have to wait... |

Achievable: caravan to the Highlands Desirable: caravan to Ireland Pie in the sky: caravan to France Impossible: family skiing in Europe Clearly these are first-world problems. We are healthy and (relatively) fit with a nice house and enough money to feed, clothe and heat us. Life’s pretty good actually. |

Pub - any one of about 7 in and around the Mournes, Thursday night, between April and June, post Hill and Dale. Mine's a stout. Restaurant - Girl and the Goat, Chicago. Friday evening, walk in and kill an hour or two at the bar waiting for a table. Seated on a high stool at the kitchen. Some chance! Cafe - somewhere around Montmartre, second weekend in April. The marathon has been canceled but the flights are paid for. Some chance pt 2! Cinema - QFT, Christmas, It's a Wonderful Life (a little tradition). Theatre - the Lyric panto with the kids. Music - the National, Botanic Gardens June. Rolled over from last year. Parkrun - Viccy Park to stretch the legs, or Castlewellan for the views. Race - Mourne Skyline. Sub 6 (maybe sub 5:30) Bucket List - Rankin Round, 90k, 6,200m 39 tops. Pie in the Sky - Malin to Mizen. Maybe before I'm 50. |
