i'm also a little down on target for the year but not too worried at this stage ..... I am meant to be dong the virtual spine which i've kind of given up on already as a i don't want to bugger myself up for the rest of the years actual races ... like you Sam i started off ok last year then quickly fell behind so i do need to make sure i don't let it drift too much ...........

I’m quite well up at the moment (plus 50%) but wasn’t really sure how surgery would affect my mileage! I’m trying to give myself plenty of breathing space. |

I'm doing the virtual spine too Gromit and I'm going to need every day of the alloted period to do it. I haven't decided which table to settle on yet but ATM I'm on the 3000 mi like last year. Not sure I'll have as much free time this year.

Down on my target and thinking of reducing it to 1500. Only started running again from injury last week after nearly 6 weeks off. Trying to get back sensibly No marathon till November so i am not tempted by big mileage too soon |

Steve, I don't really want to commit to doing long miles towards the end of the month as i'm doing a real life trail marathon Feb 6th (i'd forgotten about it until my running buddy pointed out prob best not needing to do heavy miles in the lead up to that .....

I see your point. Right now I'm in better shape to run an ultra with 30 sleep breaks than a trail marathon with none 😉

Are you sure? You can manually log your runs retrospectively back to 1st Jan. IIRC it's 415 km, which is a doable month for me, but I can't sit back and relax. I didn't bother mentioning it much here. ultrabritain.com
