Im looking for a decent 2 man tent - currently have no plans to event with it, but that might change. Any suggestions? Sorry for brevity - steaks burning :O |

This is mine: amazon.co.uk Suits me. There's space for kit outside in the porch, which helps if it ain't too wet, or inside with stuff going on in the porch if it is. Not too heavy, but I wouldn't run with it! |

Thanks DeeGee - looks good. how is it to put up? I had a 6 man one that had three poles like that, and it was pretty tricky single handed. Also do you know it 'hydrostatic head' rating? Must be pretty high if it survived that downpour!

I have a big Terra Nova, which is excellent; I have been looking at smaller tents and I'm thinking about another Terra Nova / Wild Country, here - terra-nova.co.uk I was looking at 2Kg or under for a 2-man, with the intention of being able to run with it. |

Can't remember who makes out big tent - but so far I'm quite liking this outdoorclearance.co.uk - mostly 'cos it's orange.... and 1.7 kg... and £20

My Vango is pretty good for single handed erection. Ahem! Pole in, pole in, pole in, then peg all round. Wouldn't fancy doing it in a gale, but it was fine last weekend. |

That Gelert is single skin; not sure how it would handle proper rain...

We've got a Vango Beta350 (3-man tent but there is a 2-man version as well). It's great. Pitches outer first so your kit stays drier sooner. Also have a Wild Country Mistral which has been used for backpacking and motorcycle touring. It has been excellent (and is my favourite tent ever); we only bought the Vango because we grew a family! |

Neither would be much good for running with though.
