Can anyone recommend a good one going from low mileage to sub 3:40?

May need some help establishing what paces are too...

I did P&D a while ago, but it started from a base of 25 mpw didn't it?

Another vote for P&D 55 (on the assumption that appropriate base has been built)

The base may be the problem here...sporadic at best, all one pace and not very structured.

not signed up for one yet...but have promised myself a crack at sub 3:40 before hitting 40. 38 is coming up very soon and I haven't done a great deal recently.

Could potentially get a VLM place, but have hated both previous times!

I'd suggest one of the Hal Higdon plans, but I'd suggest some basebuilding first.

It can wait for autumn, then. Put in some base, add some speed, then do 16 weeks over the summer when it's easier to get out and bask in the pleasure of fresh autumnal air on the big day itself. Autumn weather's worth 15 minutes to me, I reckon. That's why I'm running my A-race in October next year.
