And finally.

So there you have it, the close of 2014 and what a year it has been. 1000 pages, 10,000 posts. What a glorious waste of time. If you have a look at my very first post on the thread and my wishes for 2014 I’ve done pretty well. Shame about the marathon PB, failing to run 1500 miles, mini mental breakdowns but there you go. I’ve had some great times along the way.

Looking back there has been one monumental moment that this group has been instrumental in making happen. Human endeavour has seen us land a small rocket device on a bit of rock floating around space but that pails into insignificance when you consider we managed to get the porkpie emoji. An emotional moment for me.

The quote of the year goes to Pedro Perez with his posting back in February that I think conveys a message we would all want to communicate but couldn’t do it so eloquently. It goes like this and I quote.

‘Can I just say I have been to the pub. I am pissed, I love you all, I really LOVE ALL of you and I will run tomorrow, hangover or not. That is all. X REALLY LOVE YA, like, REALLY kiss

Second place goes to iJono’s wife having listening to him describing a birthday present. I quote.

‘A small pewter plaque with a Royal Navy Crest on it and on the reverse Lord Nelson’s Prayer (written on the morning of the Battle of Trafalgar) on reverse –described it to Mrs J and her response was *your not f*cking 70!’

December is all about presents, food, drink and Christmas crackers*. And what’s best about Christmas are cracker jokes and puns so for my final round-up here are a few I collected from somewhere.

If I don’t get chance on the thread to thank you all for your contributions over the year I will do that now. We've had a blast. May 2015 be good to you all.

Congratulations to Scottdog for the highest mileage run during December champagne He really ran his legs off in the last few weeks. He saw the 1500 mile line and threw the swallow dive and bagged it.

Congratulations to all those that ran through 1500 miles in 2014. I would kiss you all were you on my doorstep. champagne

And this final group of the 1500 miles in 2014 group I want to cuddle, drink coffee and eat cake with all month. Because they shot for the 1500 mile stars and whilst they had a plan that was just short are still the most wonderful runners ever. Fact!
