Combe 8 was an excellent race, 1hr 1 min. The course was nice and mixed, woodland, stream, open fields oh and some bomb craters, yes bomb craters left by the Germans during WW2.

2 minute PB, excellent, think you can sub 1:30 ? mine is just under 1:35, will try for a sub 1:30 next year I think.

Well Done Chris, Good Stuff. Not so sure about the 1:30 for me, its still coming down, 3 mins total this year but you never know :-) Did you race at Northampton Yesterday in the xc ? Our ladies were complaining about the distance to travel for what is a Birmingham League and poor organisation at the event in general.

Sorry to see illness has set you back Garfield, hope you are recovered now :-)

Hi RFR, yeah it was a bit of a trip, an hour drive and registration 1/2 a mile from where the start actually was. Not the greatest orgainised. The route itself was fine but not as hard as Leamington. Did you do your xc yesterday, any good ?

Yes we did, division 3 at Hinckley. Nice flat course that one and almost bang on 10k. Three laps in the sunshine, I just scraped the sixth club place so pretty pleased with that. The standard seems a lot higher this year even in Div 3. Ran a course pb for me but still finished about 30 places lower than last year over the same course.

Team did fab, two full teams for us second race running. Seems a real commitment to xc at the moment and it was a great day. Where are you for round 3 ?

Round three we are in Coventry somewhere. This year we seem to be having quite a few club runners turning up for the events, the first race I didnt even count for the b team ! This time 12th counter so I was counting for something. We came close to being relagated last year but managed a good turn out for the last event, this year we are about 11th so should be save.

I think your next race the ladies are racing with you. Baggeridge park, I have done a fun race there but cant remember what it was like.

I'm suffering atm. :(

Had a aching neck since thursday am and now I've got a sore throat. Managed 8 miles this morning and as long as the cold doesn't get too bad, I shall try to do the same tomorrow and wednesday. I think I'm on 34, so it's do-able with a kick up the a**e
