Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Needs doing sometimes DeeGee. Gets easier (but the demands change) when kids get older

Alas injury in July messed up my plans for the year, gonna come in around the 830 mark I think. But the injury is fading just in time for the xc season so that is good.

An end of year totaliser would be good. I guess that we were always a fairly small group and quite a few have overshot the target while others, such as me, are not going to make 1250 but won't be far off. Perhaps we can pick up a few extra folks like Nellers who have exceeded their original 1000 mile target.

I'm definitely sticking with 1250 this year too, Becca. I should hit it before the turkey's cooked but you never know and I'll certainly not get close to a bigger milestone.

I was surprised how few picked 1250 as a target, actually. I would have thought it would have been a pretty even spread between the 1000/1250/1500 groups but it really isn't, is it?

Getting some good mileage in as a base for marathon training there Nellers. Yes, 1250 was always a small group, compared with the 1000 and 1500 ones, bearing in mind how big a jump it is from 1000 to 1500.

Last year it seemed the most reasonable to me (until I found myself entering extra marathons of course)

Ah, 1250... There was a pipe dream... Injury at the Thunder Run, and then again at Dublin marathon, put paid to aall my targets - Sub 3:15 mara, 1000 miles and 2010km...

Still, there's always next year, and the next and the next :D

I think there's a half-decent 1200 group, isn't there?
