Yes duo...same experience for me. I have generally paid around £59 too and not in a position, or have the desire to be giving out £125 on a so called " new design"....

Thanks for all the feedback on shoes. Yes I am on the larger size being 6ft 3in and around 14st so the trainers get some pounding. So far no joint issues and I have been running 2 or 3 times a week for the last 10 years. I will try to hang onto the trainers until July so they will be up to 1000 miles by then.

Hokas last about 5 minutes for my wife or so it seems. I tried them but never got on with them.
Another 5.7 miles today.

Agreed Peter I’m always at least 2 models behind the latest pair.

Apparently there's another running website called Starva or something? I did a challenge on there at the end of last year that earned me 30% off my new pair of Sauconys. It was only running the sort of distance I was already running. Still not cheap, but better than full price.

Marky mark mark - you can get Ascics outlet online. I managed to get 2 pairs of Kayanos for £65 each in Nov. Love a bargain!

I was always Saucony loyal but would poke my toe through the upper after 100 miles or so and I could never go past 600 miles in them. I tried Hoka on a whim (I'm a bit chunky and need the extra cushioning) and found they suited me to a tee.

It's annoying not having the same choice of cheaper shoes but I suppose it is what it is.

😂 one of my toes always pokes through my uppers on one shoe too duo! Usually after I've completed a hundred miles in them; I then patch them (!!) and they survive another 800 miles or so. I also go down on the heel too much on the other foot and doctor them with Shoe Goo which gives them longevity too.
As for weight I'm skinny and light but two thirds of all my miles are off road which helps the shoes last longer. Five squelchy trail miles this morning, 8c...now that's more like it.
