ha! my total is now 1,234 !! (and a bit!). I'll only put in another five or six before the year's end and finish on my third highest annual total in 39 years!

Festive Flier
My annual mileage is 333 over and above my previous highest total but that's over just 3 full years of running.

This year has been so different to last year, with no injuries and my training has gone well too. Last year I missed 2 marathons due to injuries (neither running related) just days before each race.

Right, looking forwards to next year I'd like to wish you all a Happy New Year and hope you all have a great running year too. See you all, no doubt, on a new thread soon :-)

I have been progressively lowering my target for 2017, since managing to get PF around May/June time! It went down to 900, 850, 800 & finally 750. My total now stands at 746, so I should manage this rather modest target. At last I seem to be on the way back, so I hope that I can aim for 1000 in 2018.

Well done all you people overshooting your target, just hitting it, or otherwise just enjoying doing whatever miles you manage. Furthermore you must all have an exceedingly good New Year in 2018.

well completed falcarius!
Hope to find you all on a 2018 thread and hope others might join us too!
Well done of course to everyone who has been consistent throughout the year and hope that those who have had injuries have a better time of it over the next few months.
Thanks Lesley for being the administrator. Same again for 2018?

Thanks Lesley for the thread.

I didn't make it but on the upside I'm a couple of hundred miles up on any previous years so I'm happy with that.

Well done to everyone that made their targets.

Firstly sorry for a lack of activity on the forum for a few months; I had so many unread posts that catching up seemed a bit overwhelming.
Well done to everyone who achieved or surpassed their target and commiserations to those who due to injury or whatever reason fell short.
Thanks to Lesley for the thread and to everyone for their support when I was active on the thread in the early part of the year.

I completed my last run of the year tonight and ended up on 1,152 miles which is my best ever year. :)
I hope to be more active on the 2018 thread!

Best wishes to you all for a happy, healthy and injury free 2018.
