Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I love running in the heat, dunno why but it seems to suit me. Hotter the better :-)

Looking forward to mara #20 on Saturday!

Ah, Edinburgh had a few issues but I thought it was a great race. It was unseasonably warm which is probably one of the reasons why they ran out of water but otherwise it wasn't that badly organised. Lovely route down by the coast, very friendly, fast and flat course. And I got a 3'47 which was a nice bonus :-)

How did you get on with the dehydrated diet?

I enjoyed Edinburgh too, despite the heat. I actually felt pretty good for the first 16 miles, but then felt dodgy so slowed a lot and did some walking. 4:23:14 for me, which isn't too bad I suppose. I got lots of new freckles too. ;-)

Where are you anyway Contro? I can't remember when you said you'd be leaving the UK.

What's on Saturday then naomi?

Dehydrated diet was very hard for the first day, but then you get used to be hungry all day long, althought you also are a bit tired all day long, but it wasn't too bad. I had 2 really lovely runs in RP on sat and sunday.

I am still in london, I am flying on sunday to china, you will be able to follow my progress here:
facebook.com

I am on 19 marathons, so you will overtake me on sunday (although i should add 6 ultras :-P )

You're still well ahead of me, mine include ultras.

Are you sure you've got enough food if you're hungry and tired? Sounds like you could do with more (though you'd have to carry it)...

Being hungry all day long? No! Sounds horrible. I like food too much!

Yep, Northants for me on Sunday.

Eddie was my 50th actual *marathon*, but I've got 6 ultras just like Contro too. :-P
