Awful weather yesterday! Awful awful awful! Brrrr! I only started because Traviss picked me up :-). So I had no excuse! Plus I wanted to do the day's run even if only a short one. Anyay I didnt have anything better to do as the train was at 18:30.
I did have a long sleeve shirt, "rain coat" which wasn't very waterproof and a bin bag. Maybe less cloths would actually have been better because when all these layers get sokaed it was even colder. Very very very cold! I couldn't feel my arms and had to use my elbows to get over those stiles When I was purple enough I pulled out at 14.5 k Easy decision this time:) I was sat with the marshals for a few hours, had a pint of tea and got a bit warmer. Ah I found it all funny! I like to put myself through such horrors sometimes
Day before was very amusing as I had to climb over wired fences and even got electricuted! Such a funny feeling! My legs are so scratched everywhere I look as if taken out of a tiger's mouth Very amusing!
I have problems decide which route was worse - this or Bath ?
Thanks B-Lass for all help! I hope you won't get put off after that, you probably won't find anything worse

Day 1 at Langport was fine, apart from the dubious route description - CPs were well stocked and friendly, nice feel to the event.

All races are ok if you've got the proper kit with you, problem is you don't expect to have to carry winter kit in the middle of summer. Unless of course you're running the DD;)

I enjoyed Saturday, despite the diversions. Thought it was getting a bit of a bad press, when the truth is anything would have been awful yesterday.

Very true Paul. I have to say its good coz I live there . The SLAMM is on parts of the route and that's a good event
