Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Yes indeed Paul thought that Richmond was really very pleasant, great marshalls, lots of familiar faces, nice route, good weather, some deer, nice bling, good aid stations and a gorilla, what else could you want for?! (Though do feel for poor Kaja's experience, not good...)

Glad to hear Richmond went off well. Sorry I missed it, just didn't fit with my race schedule this year. Maybe next.

Congrats TZ on your 50th :-)

What happened to K / Liverpool Feet?

Thanks all! I really enjoyed Richmond as a venue for my 50th - so many friends I have met on the marathon scene and a lovely setting with a great big bag of goodies too.

Hope to do my next 50 in less than the 5 years the first half-century took! :-)

When Liverpool Feet got to the finish line, they'd all packed up and gone home! Which was obviously rather upsetting for the poor soul, especially as the marshalls as late as 4km from the finish had been cheering her along. I'm not sure what time she actually finished in, it would have been well over 6 hours, and someone had mentioned that they were aware of a 6 hour limit (though I couldn't find that on the website or the pre-race instructions). But did seem rather odd that someone got left out on the course like that in what otherwise was a very well done marathon.

Well done to all who finished marathons over the weekend and TZ on your 50th. I did a lovelly low key event in Shropshire the Clun Valley Challenge clunvalleychallenge.com Spectacular scenery and views, well organised, friendly marshalls, a 26 mile route description on two sides of A4 and outstanding catering. We had cakes, sandwiches, posh squash, tea, coffee, bottled water, apples, chocolate bars at the checkpoints and a gourmet buffet at the end. This really is a little gem I will definately be back. Took 6:50 but with over 4,000 ft of ascent and all that food to eat I am happy with the time.

Well done TZ :-)

Sounds like a good run JJ. Well done on number 96 too!

I did the Rhondda rollercoaster on saturday which takes me to 17. Like JJs race it was low key with lots of hills & cake!
