100 different fruits and vegetables for 2017

A few years ago I did the year of beers - how many different beers could I have in one year. This was a lot of fun but not the best for my health (580 final total, minimum measure half pint)

For 2017, I am going to see how many different fruits and vegetables I can eat. Minimum portion equal to a "1 of your 5 a day". I am aiming for 100. If anyone else fancies joining me, feel free to join in on this thread. You have nothing to lose but the integrity of your digestive tract.

Actually I was thinking something like that. Not those numbers though but I'm in. Might encourage me to eat more of the good stuff

I think my friendly green grocer will do quite well out of this game. The beers game is a lot of fun but much easier now than it was 10 years ago.

Looks like beans and pulses are in the somewhat arbitrary 5 a day but starchy stuff like rice and potatoes don't make it.

I hadn't planned on including chick peas, kidney beans etc. (They do count for the 5 a day) but was planning on counting garden peas and broad beans. I guess I will include anything on the 5 a day website now.
