Has anyone worked out why the total goes high then back down again after a refresh or something?

Went exploring a bit again today down the south side of town. Nice. Not just for circles, honest! Also for Who Squares Wins! :-) G

Have only crept up from 10497 to 10552 over the last week, but after HG's comment, at least I haven't dropped below 10,000. I have had my total drop after a refresh before too. calculating circles from your most recent run happens straight first, but maybe there's a slight delay with working out the overlapping circles?

Helped by running the Snowdonia marathon I am now at 12743 & hoping to reach 13000 by the end of the year, the only non local runs I have planned are the Philadelphia marathon & Wolverhampton parkrun

I have 49731 lifetime, 50,000 would be nice & I have never run the Philadelphia marathon so I should make it, fingers crossed the route doesn't cover too much if any of North Philly as I have run there before.

Locally there's hardly anything to be had there are the odd single circles that no matter what I do I just cant get !!

8855 - there's no way I can make it up to 10k by the end of December but I'll get as close as I can and then hope next year is better!

Similarly, 8716 - hopefully, a weekend in the Lakes will get me some new circles, but after that I'll be struggling to pick up any new ones.

Might try to find a couple of races that I've not done before, and see how that helps

Me also - on 8287, and currently not running much due to a dodgy foot.

A good target for next year, though, and it has made me think about trying new running routes.

12357 - I've been doing random hill routes and random road routes, partly inspired by Who Squares Wins head to heads. So it's all extra circles! :-) G

By chance, I am on 9813 for 2019. Seems a shame to be so close, and not go for it.
But as a relative newbie to capturing circles, how far do I need to run? Is there a fixed size?
I reckon it's about 20-30 per mile, so if I find 8 - 10 'new' miles should that do it?

Although now it's decided I'm on 9602.
Are the circles a bit random, or do I need to get the 10k before any more disappear?

12,425 - new XC route on Sat, plus a different hill route on Sun led by club mates got a few circles. :-) G

About This Thread

realising I'm on for 9500 circles in 2018 thought 10,000 for next year sounded a fun challenge ...

your circle count can be found on your training log under the "Map" tab & will show you the circles you have run through & give you a total.
