For importing a training plan, there are "start date" & "end date" options. The list of dates for both options ends on the same date (24 July currently), so a plan can't be adding using the "end" date option, when it can with the "start" date one.

Bright Strider says: Playing by 'your circle, your rules' does not have to pollute the pool, and 'bump' would make keeping it clean a bit easier, so more likely to be done.
Nightjar says: I'd say lack of local knowledge could be considered the same as temporarily inaccessible. How long do you want it marking for though?
Nightjar says: The algorithm for marking any area ought to be somewhat temporary so that eventually bugs creep back but if you are actively playing then you would mark any new ones too.

Immunity from congestion charge in your home circle. Your home circle is your home. You should not be charged for moving around in it.
Comments
westmoors says: Should incentivise you to be first to claim it.
CumbriAndy says: part of it could equally well be someone else's home circle - this is the whole point of the traffic lights
Bright Strider says: Westmoors, 4-5 am tends to reward insomnia. I don’t think we should encourage it.
Bright Strider says: CumbriAndy, completely.Hence, immunity not possession.
chunkywizard says: its a no from me, I think it's part of the game and as westmoors suggests just make sure you claim them before anyone else
BarefootEm says: I only get traffic light income from the other players in my house, if we all had immunity the traffic lights would be useless, I couldn't even coax people to my traffic light with the one true ring!
Bright Strider says: Chunkywizard, the trouble with 'just...' is that it becomes an alarms war, escalating towards 3.30am in order to be out at 4am. It is not good for players, even if it is light enough. Finding your way in the dark has hazards.

Change 1 traffic light in the player's circle to a Dutch roundabout, every week. The roundabout levies no charge, but the owner's FetchEveryone skin goes Dutch (orange with tulips and windmills).

Bright Strider says: A Dutch roundabout is a people-friendly traffic calming measure suited to residential areas, such as Fetchpoint players' circles.
Bright Strider says: The player chooses one, or none. It is not random.
Drell says: I'm not sure about the orange skin, but I like the idea of being people friendly

Bright Strider says: • The Dutch skin has been turned on for an hour. Do you like it?

Bright Strider says: Cambridge has the UK's first Dutch roundabout, as the article that the first comment links to says. There will be an item about it on BBC 1 TV channel in the 'One Show' on Tuesday, all being well.

Add Privacy Zones so that user can hide home address but still have training public as per Garmin or Strava.
Jul 2

Comments
Elsie Too says: How would that work - if you run from home every day and show your training it will be obvious where you live? I don't use strava so no idea what they do?
larkim says: strava basically adds a "fuzzy" area to the place you've identified as home so that no map traces appear in that zone - it tends to start about 200-300m away from where you live, thus disguising your actual home if that's where you run from
larkim says: In support of mercilessly stealing their idea - it's documented here support.strava.com

Comments

Bright Strider says: When cycling, I tend not to take footpaths, on which tokens do appear. I also run, and this provides an opportunity to collect those tokens. Nonrunners will find such tokens less appealing.

'Injuries' page: I'd like to be able to edit when the injury commenced - rather than it being the date that it's first input. Aches aren't always obvious as injuries until they persist. It would be useful to track from the actual occurrence date.
Comments
ZenTaoPlurp says: There's a date input box when the injury is first entered - ignore all after 'Injuries'.
ZenTaoPlurp says: After further thought, the ability to change the date on which an injury commenced would still be really useful.
gwowen says: Agreed. I'd like to be able to add an injury history at one time, and set dates for how it was

WSW / New?
Capture the flag, flag is placed on grid same as WSW.
Flag captured and moved on an activity.
Points scored time held and captures, bonus for holding flag at the end
Game ends after a period of time maybe a week, most points?
iwaswill May 11

Comments
chunkywizard says: Fecthpoint has various things like this ie relays and trafficlights. Not sure this adds anything new
iwaswill says: I am right in thinking fetchpoint can only be played by those near you, as I liked the WSW style of playing wherever you are, but maybe other features are too close. :-)
Bright Strider says: Iwaswill, no there is a single league table for Fetchpoint. The total is a rolling 30 day one, which is a great idea. It limits potential for obsession, but also keeps going.
JCB says: I believe iwaswill is requesting a game like WSW in a grid, with the game being capture the flag. This sounds great and could even involve teams.

WSW
Teams, in a 1v1 fashion.
Not sure how points would work or should it be a choosen team vs random like 1v1.
iwaswill May 11

Comments
chunkywizard says: it could work but how does it fit in with 1v1 and multiplayer, it would be hard to do all three.
iwaswill says: ...I hadn't thought that far...the points become akward forsure, its probably another type of game, but that does that start to dilute WSW too much? It seems its a hot game style right now.
iwaswill says: Also seeing active the forum is I wondered if this team aspect would add to that community, as tactics and activies coordinated to be play.

Routes: WSW Grid. When overlaying the WSW grid on plot a route show which squares have already been run through for that week so you can target visiting them all.
Comments
Chrisity says: i keep a window with that on half the screen and plan my route on the other half, just open 2 windows.
chunkywizard says: yep, that's an option, but it's not as eligant as the feature request which should speed up route creation and save you having to keep checking between 2 screens
Diogenes says: tricky on a phone, Chrisity

roberton says: Not keen. Badges for self-reported things should be awarded sparingly
Ocelot Spleens says: Very keen, I am not lying about my press ups.

Dave W says: Everything is self reported. You could have your Garmin in your car while you drive round.

Badges: distance badges should include ALL distance training logged (run, cycle, swim, walk); at the moment they say "a total training distance of x miles" but it's only from running that counts.

rf_fozzy says: The total training distances badges *do* include all training distances - otherwise I wouldn't have had the Mars badge
roberton says: Voted No because it's already correct :-)
Sigh says: My total training miles are 5887, next badge to earn is for 5382?
Gooner says: My next badge is for 2181 miles, my run total is 2062, my combined run and bike is 3605. It definitely only counts running.

Option to purchase & place a toll booth. Either fixed penalty or a % of flowers picked on the ride. Max 1 toll booth per player (only available if density=0 (no traffic lights)). Could regular commuters purchase a season ticket?
MisterTea May 7

Comments
chunkywizard says: is this fair being only allowed if density=0? I believe the game is consider to be balanced at the moment independantly of density, could this skew the game if favour of density=0?
MisterTea says: If you have density=0 you never get access to any traffic lights
Bright Strider says: I think that the presence of traffic lights is more to do with activity than the number of residents.
MisterTea says: I don't think that's right BrightStrider
Bright Strider says: Yes, if it has to be in your circle, and without the density condition.
Bright Strider says: I see why you'd think that Vancouver Jogger, but my circle has six traffic lights even though my density is zero.
Bright Strider says: I've voted yes, with the conditions I mentioned above.
milemonster says: Could this be abused? I like the idea but what if someone got one then moved their home area and placed it on a popular route. Fetch would need to write in a code so that it can only be placed in the true 0 density area.
JCB says: Density 0 is not the same as not having anyone nearby. Having someone a little ways away then enables traffic lights to show up (I’ve tested). No activities need to be logged by nearby neighbour.
MisterTea says: The condition on toll booths would be that you don’t have traffic lights
Bright Strider says: Thanks, JCB. Good to know.
JCB says: You’re welcome BS. Good point MM. VJ, yes that makes sense. I’ve voted yes

westmoors says: Obviously its only for Fetchpoint! I meant that boosting/reducing points/penalties only applies to the activity in which the booster/reducer markers are collected.
Bright Strider says: Oh, I see. That's an interesting idea, westmoors, but Fetchpoint does not currently distinguish activities. That's not to say it couldn't, but it might involve a lot of work for Fetch. Cost vs benefit.
