Based out of Hadrian Leisure, Wallsend Harriers are a club of people passionate about their running. With a backup team of quality coaches we're here to help you improve your running ability and make the most of your talent. You don't have to be fast, just friendly!
Athletes of all abilities and standards are welcome. Many of our current members started as tentative runners, new to the sport, perhaps seeking additional preparation for the Great North Run, London Marathon or Blaydon Race, and unsure of whether or not they would ‘fit in’ to a traditional athletics club.
It is one of the club commitments that new members will be accompanied at all times on club nights, and prospective members are urged not be dissuaded from applying for membership by any preconceptions about fast-paced runs or ultra-distance efforts!

Tuesday
Interval sessions of around 6-8miles in total. 5 groups of various abilities. Meet at Hadrian Leisure @ 18:30

Interval sessions or a stead run of 6-8mi. Various group levels. This does tend to be a quieter club night - possibly better for beginners. Meet at Hadrian Leisure @ 18:30

Friday
Track session covering up to 4miles of efforts at Churchill Playing Fields. All abilities welcome. Juniors meet at 18:00, seniors begin warm up as arrive and be ready for a 18:40 start.
